Abu Dhabi Police said the gang had smashed windows of cars left parked on streets with iron rods and stole the valuables left inside by the owners. The force said they tracked down the men after several people complained to them about the same crime, saying that the men, whose nationalities were not stated by police, broke into the cars as the victims slept. Colonel Ahmed Seif bin Zaitun Al Muhairi, Chief of the metropolitan police, said the men targeted cars left in quiet locations. Police said all of the men admitted to theft charges and have been referred to the public prosecution.
