I am referring to the numbskulls driving at 60kph on a highway in the middle lane, right up to the 140kph, light-flashing psychopaths we all find ourselves in the path of at some point each week! I got my licence in Dubai (some years back admittedly) and the final driving test was a harrowing experience to say the least. Myself and 3 other women crammed into a small Nissan Sunny with the Dubai Police/RTA lady – along with myself, was a lady with serious anger management issues, who insisting on fighting with the RTA lady when she failed her for her rash driving. Next up was an Asian girl, who was a nervous wreck behind the wheel when her turn came, and another young girl who was ordered to pull over after only a few minutes as she nearly crashed the car! I was last up, and I was amazed I passed because my nerves were completely shot. Thank God because if I had failed, I would probably not have the licence even now as there was no way I could have gone through that again!
