Readers share tales of bad drivers on the roads

This content was originally posted in 7DAYS UAE website at: Readers share tales of bad drivers on the roads I was driving in the Tecom area and as I was driving pass the Rotana Hotel, a black Chevrolet Tahoe came out of the hotel and the drivers window was down and I saw him looking at me and he drove out anyway. I had to emergency stop and nearly crashed into the side of his car. I rolled down my window and asked him in a kind way what he thought he was doing as I nearly crashed into him. He was in his early 20s. He told me aggressively if I had a problem to come out of my car and he kept repeating that. I just shook my head thinking I’m not going to waste my time with such people. It is these kind of moments where I strongly dislike being in Dubai. What makes others have more rights in queues or on the roads??? We are equal! Disappointed Resident, Dubai Dear Mariam, driving a Mercedes C200 at 7:45 on Rebat St. You were driving in the first lane and your car suddenly came into the 2nd line and almost hit my vehicle. I applied sudden brakes to avoid the accident but again you did the same thing. I checked who was driving and why this was continuously happening. I saw you were using your phone, moving your fingers on your screen. You looked like an executive and may be you have lot of money. But you put my life and other road users lives in danger. I have a kid and my family is depending on me and we are very poor. I know there are lot of people like me. Sorry to say Ma’am, think again before you do the same again and again. UAE driver, Dubai I was seriously annoyed this week by a lady in a fancy white SUV car. As we know the rain was flooding some roads in Dubai Media City, the specialist cleaners were there to get the running water away. While they were doing their noble job, a lady was driving close to them. They told her to slow down. In contrast, she increased the speed on purpose as she was reaching these workers causing them to get wet with the dirty water. Come on! Shame on you! These people are getting your routes clear, so please have some respect for them. Moe, Dubai Read the original story at: Readers share tales of bad drivers on the roads
