I live in Karama and I am a daily visitor to the Karama Park. It’s an open and free park where I used to play football every day. But since last week they have put up new boards with certain rules. These rules include no playing football or any form of sport. They have even prohibited cycling and sitting on the grass. These rules have now taken away one of out last options to play football in a free place as Zabeel Park not only charges but you’re not allowed to play there either. I would like the Dubai Municipality to either remove these prohibitions or at least open a dedicated place where children can play any form of sport that they wish to. In an age where obesity is increasing, the government should encourage outdoor sports and these prohibitions are only going discourage it. Edwin, Karama
