RTA should make short routes rather than running buses on long time consuming journey where in a car you can go in 30 minutes RTA bus take over an hour? At least during office timing they should run limited stop buses so that people can get to their office quickly as some other countries does. On the other hand, they should make the bus fare be able to be paid to the driver and obtain a ticket instead of forcing people to use NOL card. If I do not have NOL I cannot use the RTA bus service at all. I do not have a RTA card but if my car breaks down on the road I should be able to fetch RTA bus yet I cannot do this without using NOL card. If I am not using RTA buses regularly why should I need to buy and keep a NOL in my pocket all the time? This does not make sense at all. RTA could give better discount for NOL card users and if they want to pay money for a ride it could be little more expensive which is fine.
