Temperatures are expected to drop further with more rain forecast in the coming days, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology has said. After experiencing scattered rain on Saturday, Sunday will see light rain across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Skies are expected to remain partly cloudy. Abu Dhabi will see highs of 24C and lows of 14C and Dubai 24C and 15C. “The temperature is expected to drop in the coming few days, with the amount of clouds increasing over the Northern areas. Rain on Sunday is expected in the early morning,” said a meteorologist from NCMS. The NCMS also warned against the probability of mist and fog in western inland areas on Monday morning. “Monday is going to be a sunnier day, being partly cloudy and hazy at times, with a slight chance of rain,” he added. The temperature in Abu Dhabi on Monday will see highs 25 degrees and lows of 16, while Dubai will experience highs of 25 degrees, with lows of 17 degrees. Wind speeds of up to 55km per hour on the coast will pick up dust and sand, leading to hazy conditions, the NCMS said, adding that motorists should take care. Temperatures in the mountain regions and the northern emirates are expected to fall to as low as 8C. The sea is expected to be rough over the next few days, becoming very rough at times, the forecaster added. mahak@7days.ae
