One of the most memorable parts of our lives was living abroad in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain in the Emirates. Six and a half years we were residents there where I managed English language training for the Air Defence Institute and have so many pleasant memories. Our friends here in Thailand and back in America often asked us where we enjoyed living most while working abroad. It was an easy answer. The people of Abu Dhabi and Al Ain were the most friendly folks we ever encountered anywhere. We left Abu Dhabi on December 31, 1997 to relocate to northeastern Thailand to open an orphanage for abandoned and indigent children. We are still here, eighteen years later. Thank you so much Emiratis for giving us such a wonderful experience. From all of us here at Tree of Life Orphanage Foundation wishing you all a very happy new year. Roger Walker, Thailand
