A four-year-old Asian boy died and seven members of his family were seriously injured when their 4×4 overturned on Al Dhaid road in Sharjah. Police said the driver lost control of the vehicle which veered off the road as he tried to avoid a puddle. Sharjah Police said the boy died after being thrown out of the flipping vehicle before it overturned and fell on him. The driver, his wife and five other family members were taken to Al Qassimi Hospital. RELATED: Downpour in UAE leads to hundreds of accidents In an another crash in Fujairah, an Emirati motorist died after his speeding car crashed into a road pavement due to the heavy downpour. Fujairah police said the crash occurred on Sunday morning when the driver, in his 20s, lost control of the car on a slippery road. The young man who was alone in the car was found dead when police and rescue team reached the crash scene.
