Regarding the labour case ban (‘I won labour case but I still got a ban and a fine’, November 30) I bet no one would ever want to file a case and just sit home with no job. Most of the companies here don’t want liabilities with someone who has a court case. My visa expired nine months after I filed the case on which I went back to the court labour department and enquired what I should do and they advised me it was ok and legal as I have a case and they gave me a letter showing I have a case in case I come across the cops. After the case finished and there was a ban and fine, I went to labour and they told me to provide about seven listed documents from the court to prove it, which I did and I was told to wait 10 days. Already I was on overstay and they were well aware coz I was given six days after the case finished. Later they called me and informed me my request was rejected and no reason was given after I provided all the documents and I had to pay for them. Can someone get help on this as it was not my fault? Confused UAE
