The crash happened on the road to Dibba in Fujairah on Friday night. Fujairah Police said the two Emirati friends and neighbours were riding their bikes on the motorway and at high speed following each other. Police said they swerved suddenly into another lane occupied by a van transporting goods. The Pakistani driver of the van then crashed into the two bikes, killing one of the Emiratis on the spot. The second biker, aged 32, was seriously injured. He was taken to hospital, where he was said to be in critical condition. Police said the van driver said he didn’t notice the bikers until they switched lanes. He escaped the crash unhurt. Police said they have detained him as they make further investigations into the crash. Police have urged bikers and motorists to avoid excessive speed and to also abide by other traffic rules and regulations to prevent road crashes. news@7days.ae   Read original post at: One dead and one critical in UAE motorbike crash
