Iconic British carmaker Aston Martin is to open a showroom in Abu Dhabi. The firm opened a showroom in Dubai in 2012, which quickly became its best performing dealership in the world. Now, Aston Martin CEO Dr Andy Palmer has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HH Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed al Nahyan for a new Aston Martin showroom based in Etihad Towers. Richard Foulds, Head of Property Management at Etihad Towers, said: “We are thrilled to be able to share this exciting news. Aston Martin opening in Abu Dhabi is good news for us all, and we are especially pleased to be hosting their beautiful new showroom here.” RELATED: No amount of money can tempt Aston Martin to sell ‘Spectre’ car Palmer added: “We are very much looking forward to opening a showroom in Abu Dhabi. The UAE market is extremely important for a luxury automotive brand like Aston Martin and Etihad Towers is the perfect location.” And Neil Slade, General Manager Middle East and North Africa at Aston Martin, said: “Aston Martin is much more than a car, it is a lifestyle and Etihad Towers reflects that lifestyle. The new dealership will allow us to take excellent care of our Middle Eastern clients and further enhance their experience of Aston Martin.” The also saw the Abu Dhabi launch of Aston Martin’s track-only supercar, the 800-plus bhp, all-carbon fibre Vulcan. The supercar is limited to just 24 examples worldwide. Palmer said: “Vulcan is not just a supercar, it represents 102 years of road and race experience and only 24 people in the world will be able to say they are part of this unique club.” No date for the opening of the showroom was released.
