HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, became Ruler of Dubai on January 4, 2006. And FNC member Hamad Al Rahomi says that since then, he has been a leader of conviction. The FNC member from Dubai said that in the 10 years as Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed has transformed Dubai into a global tourism and financial hub. Another member, Afra Al Basti, also from Dubai, praised Sheikh Mohammed’s passion for the development of the nation and wellbeing of its people. “Sheikh Mohammed’s charitable initiatives, like Dubai Cares, educational and economic reforms, principled stance on international issues, security and public welfare works have made him such a great leader among people of the UAE,” she said.
