Archaeologists sifting the sands on the border of Al Ain and Oman have found what could be one of the most exciting excavation sites in the region. Tawam is a lost and almost forgotten Arab capital, which once controlled a ninth century empire, that stretched from the Arabian Gulf to the Indus.
