Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) officials said that new performance criteria will be used to measure the overall performance and quality of all schools. The categories will be student achievement, personal and social development and innovation skills. “We have deployed a new inspection framework in order to provide a single measure of education quality for all schools across the UAE,” Dr Mugheer Al Khaili, Acting Director General of ADEC, said on Sunday during the annual Irtiqa’a School Inspection Conference. Schools will be given a 30-day period to come up with an improvement plan after they have been inspected. In some cases a follow-up evaluation will then be implemented to ensure teachers are carrying out best practices. ismail@7days.ae Read the original story at: New inspection regime for Abu Dhabi schools
