Narendra Modi visits Sivagiri mutt and attend Combined Commanders Conference off the Kochi coast

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Sivagiri Mutt in the south Indian state of Kerala, a revered spiritual centre established by the renowned 20th century saint-social reformer Sree Narayana Guru, and paid respects at his samadhi. The Prime Minister also chaired the Combined Commanders Conference, an annual tri-services event held for the first time outside New Delhi onboard the warship INS Vikramaditya, and reviewed the exercise about 50 km off the coast where the naval guns blazed and fighter jets roared in a dazzling display of India's military might.
