But I can miraculously testify that Sharjah taxi wins the dreadful game. We came back from holiday about 10pm and took a taxi home from Sharjah airport. I thought the driver was speeding far too much on Emirates Road and when I looked at him, his eyes were closed, at more than 120kph. He said he was very tired because he started at 10am, so I had to keep talking for him to stay awake and not kill the five of us. When he finally dropped us, I asked him to go to bed because he was a danger to himself, his clients and the other innocent people on the road. He said he couldn’t because he had to work until the end of his shift at 2am: 16-hour shift, no days off? Totally irresponsible.
